SHIPPING POLICY

SHIPPING POLICY

Effective Date: 25 August 2026

This Shipping Policy governs the processing, dispatch, transportation, delivery, inspection, refusal, and non-delivery of products purchased from Meer Retail through www.meerretail.com or any other official sales channel operated by Meer Retail.

By placing an order, the customer agrees to this Shipping Policy together with Meer Retail’s Terms and Conditions, Return and Exchange Policy, and Privacy Policy.

1. Shipping Coverage

Meer Retail delivers orders throughout Pakistan through approved third-party courier partners.

Delivery to certain villages, remote localities, restricted areas, high-risk areas, or addresses outside the courier’s regular service network may be unavailable or may require:

  • Advance payment;

  • Self-collection from a courier office;

  • Collection from the nearest serviceable city;

  • Additional delivery charges; or

  • A longer delivery period.

International shipping is not available unless expressly offered and confirmed by Meer Retail in writing.

2. Order Confirmation and Verification

Submission of an order does not automatically constitute final acceptance by Meer Retail. An order may be verified through telephone, WhatsApp, SMS, email, or another reasonable communication method.

Meer Retail reserves the right to hold, reject, or cancel an order where:

  • The customer cannot be contacted for verification;

  • The telephone number or delivery address is incorrect or incomplete;

  • The ordered product is unavailable;

  • A pricing, inventory, or technical error has occurred;

  • The order appears fraudulent, duplicated, abusive, or commercially unreasonable;

  • The location is outside the courier’s service network;

  • The customer has a history of repeated unjustified refusals or undelivered orders; or

  • A required advance payment has not been received.

An automated order-confirmation message does not guarantee acceptance, stock allocation, or dispatch.

3. Processing and Dispatch Time

Verified orders are generally processed within one to three business days.

Processing may take longer during:

  • Sales and promotional campaigns;

  • Public holidays;

  • Adverse weather;

  • High order volumes;

  • Stock verification;

  • Payment verification; or

  • Operational or courier disruptions.

Processing time is separate from the courier’s delivery time.

4. Estimated Delivery Time

After dispatch, delivery ordinarily takes:

  • Two to seven business days for major cities and standard service areas; and

  • Seven to twelve business days for remote or extended service areas.

These delivery periods are estimates and are not guaranteed.

Delivery may be delayed due to courier operations, public holidays, road closures, weather conditions, strikes, law-and-order situations, government restrictions, natural disasters, communication failures, or circumstances beyond Meer Retail’s reasonable control.

Customers should not place an order where delivery by a particular date is essential unless Meer Retail has expressly guaranteed that date in writing.

5. Self-Collection for Non-Coverage Areas

Some customer addresses may not be covered by the courier’s doorstep-delivery service.

In such circumstances, Meer Retail may require the customer to collect the parcel from:

  • The nearest courier office;

  • A designated courier service centre;

  • An authorized collection point; or

  • The nearest city covered by the courier.

Where reasonably possible, the customer shall be informed about the self-collection requirement before dispatch. However, courier serviceability may sometimes be confirmed or changed after the parcel has already been dispatched.

Once the parcel has been dispatched to the customer’s city or nearest available collection point, the applicable delivery charges shall remain payable and shall not be waived or refunded merely because doorstep delivery was unavailable.

This is because the courier charges Meer Retail for transporting the parcel from Meer Retail’s dispatch location to the customer’s city, courier office, or designated collection point.

Any travelling or transportation cost incurred by the customer to collect the parcel shall be borne by the customer.

Failure to collect the parcel within the period allowed by the courier may result in its return to Meer Retail. Applicable outward shipping, return shipping, handling, and reshipment charges may then be recovered from the customer, subject to applicable law.

6. Shipping Charges

Applicable shipping charges shall be communicated at checkout, during order confirmation, or before dispatch.

Shipping charges cover transportation through the courier network and do not necessarily guarantee doorstep delivery in an area that the courier does not cover for home delivery.

Shipping charges already incurred shall ordinarily be non-refundable where:

  • Self-collection is required from a courier office;

  • The customer fails to collect the parcel;

  • The customer provides an incorrect or incomplete address;

  • The customer remains unavailable or unreachable;

  • The customer unjustifiably refuses the parcel; or

  • The parcel is returned for a reason attributable to the customer.

Additional charges may apply to remote locations, oversized shipments, repeated delivery attempts, return transportation, or reshipment.

Free-shipping promotions may be subject to minimum order value, specified products, locations, promotional periods, or other announced conditions.

7. Advance Payment Requirement

For orders above Rs. 6,500, a 10% advance payment may be required before the order is confirmed and processed.

Meer Retail may also require full or partial advance payment for:

  • High-value orders;

  • Customized or special orders;

  • Remote or restricted locations;

  • Reshipment requests;

  • Customers with previous refused or undelivered orders; or

  • Any order considered to involve increased delivery or payment risk.

Order processing and stock reservation shall begin only after the required advance payment has been received and verified.

8. EasyPaisa, JazzCash and Bank-Transfer Payments

Meer Retail may accept advance payments through:

  • EasyPaisa;

  • JazzCash;

  • Direct bank transfer; or

  • Any other payment method expressly approved by Meer Retail.

A payment shall be considered received and confirmed only when the complete required amount has been successfully credited, cleared, and verified in Meer Retail’s relevant account.

A screenshot, transaction message, debit notification, transaction ID, payment receipt, or transfer confirmation provided by the customer shall not, by itself, constitute confirmation that Meer Retail has received the payment.

A screenshot may only be used to trace or investigate a payment. Meer Retail shall not be required to confirm, process, reserve stock for, or dispatch an order solely on the basis of a screenshot where the corresponding amount has not been received in Meer Retail’s account.

If the amount is deducted from the customer but is not credited to Meer Retail, the payment shall remain unconfirmed. The customer must contact the relevant bank, EasyPaisa, JazzCash, wallet operator, or payment service provider.

Meer Retail shall reasonably cooperate by providing available transaction information but shall not be liable for:

  • Payment-service delays;

  • Reversed or failed transactions;

  • Incorrect account transfers;

  • Banking-system errors;

  • Wallet-system failures; or

  • Amounts sent to an incorrect or unauthorized account.

9. Cash on Delivery

Cash on Delivery may be available for eligible orders and serviceable locations.

The customer must ensure that the complete payable amount is available at the time of delivery.

The courier rider may refuse to hand over the parcel until the complete Cash on Delivery amount has been paid, except where an authorized “First Check Then Pay” facility applies.

Repeated Cash on Delivery refusals may result in advance payment being required for future orders.

10. Customer’s Delivery Information

The customer is responsible for providing complete and accurate information, including:

  • Full name;

  • Active telephone number;

  • House, building, street, block, sector, or area details;

  • City and district;

  • Nearby landmark, where required; and

  • Any delivery instructions reasonably necessary to locate the address.

Meer Retail shall not be responsible for a delay or failed delivery caused by incorrect, incomplete, misleading, or outdated information supplied by the customer.

An address or telephone-number change may be accepted only before dispatch. Meer Retail does not guarantee that a change requested after dispatch can be implemented.

11. Tracking Information

Where available, tracking information shall be provided through SMS, WhatsApp, email, website update, or another appropriate method.

Tracking information is generated by independent courier systems and may not always be updated in real time.

A delay in tracking updates does not necessarily mean that the parcel has been lost or has not moved.

12. First Check Then Pay Facility

Where Meer Retail expressly offers a “First Check Then Pay” or open-parcel facility for an order, the customer may inspect the parcel only to the extent permitted by the relevant courier and Meer Retail’s instructions.

The inspection is limited to confirming:

  • Product type;

  • Colour or design;

  • Quantity;

  • Visible physical condition; and

  • Size stated on the product label.

The customer is not permitted to:

  • Wear or try on the product;

  • Wash the product;

  • Remove tags or labels;

  • Damage, stain, stretch, or alter the product; or

  • Use the product before making payment.

Where the item is correct and has no apparent shipping defect, the customer must accept the parcel and pay the amount due.

Size preference, fitting issues, or change of mind shall be handled under Meer Retail’s Return and Exchange Policy.

If a courier refuses inspection despite the order being expressly marked for open-parcel inspection, the customer should contact Meer Retail before refusing the parcel whenever reasonably possible.

13. Delivery Attempts and Customer Availability

The customer must remain reachable and ensure that an authorized person is available to receive the parcel.

A courier may make one or more delivery attempts according to its own operating procedures. Meer Retail does not guarantee a particular number of delivery attempts or a specific delivery time during the day.

A parcel may be returned where:

  • The customer does not answer calls;

  • The address cannot be located;

  • The recipient is repeatedly unavailable;

  • Cash on Delivery payment is unavailable;

  • The customer fails to collect the parcel; or

  • The customer refuses the parcel without a valid reason.

Reshipment may require advance payment of the order value and all applicable shipping and return charges.

14. Delivery to Another Person at the Address

Delivery made at the provided address to the customer, a family member, employee, receptionist, security guard, office representative, or another person reasonably appearing authorized to receive the parcel may be treated as valid delivery.

A courier delivery scan, recipient name, signature, OTP verification, photograph, call record, or other courier-generated proof may be relied upon as evidence of delivery, subject to investigation where fraud or error is reasonably alleged.

15. Cancellation or Refusal After Dispatch

An order ordinarily cannot be cancelled after it has been dispatched.

If a correctly supplied parcel is refused without a valid reason, Meer Retail may:

  • Recover the outward and return shipping costs;

  • Decline future Cash on Delivery orders;

  • Require advance payment for future orders; or

  • Restrict further orders associated with the same customer, telephone number, address, or account.

These measures shall not affect any mandatory right available to the customer under applicable law.

16. Damaged, Tampered, Incorrect or Incomplete Parcel

The customer should inspect the parcel’s external condition before accepting it.

A parcel that is visibly open, materially damaged, resealed, or tampered with should, where possible, be refused and immediately reported to Meer Retail.

If an incorrect, damaged, or incomplete parcel is discovered after acceptance, the customer should notify Meer Retail within 48 hours of delivery and provide:

  • The order number;

  • Photographs or video of the parcel;

  • A photograph of the shipping label;

  • Photographs or video of the product received;

  • Details of the issue; and

  • Any other evidence reasonably required for investigation.

The customer must retain the original product, packaging, invoice, accessories, and tags until the complaint is resolved.

Verified claims shall be handled under Meer Retail’s Return and Exchange Policy and applicable law.

17. Lost Parcels and Transit Damage

Where a parcel is lost or materially damaged while in transit, Meer Retail shall investigate the matter with the courier partner.

For a verified prepaid order lost before delivery, Meer Retail may:

  • Dispatch a replacement;

  • Issue store credit with the customer’s consent; or

  • Refund the amount actually received for the affected products and applicable shipping charges.

A replacement or refund may be processed after the courier investigation has been reasonably completed, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

18. Courier Conduct

Courier riders, drivers, and delivery personnel are employed or engaged by independent courier companies and are not employees of Meer Retail.

Any misconduct, abusive behaviour, unauthorized demand, or delivery-related complaint should be reported to Meer Retail with the tracking number, date, time, and available evidence.

Meer Retail shall record and escalate a genuine complaint to the relevant courier company and may take appropriate commercial action.

Nothing in this section excludes any responsibility that cannot legally be excluded or limits Meer Retail’s obligation to reasonably assist the customer.

19. Split Shipments

Meer Retail may dispatch an order in more than one parcel due to product availability, warehouse location, weight restrictions, or operational requirements.

The customer shall be informed where a split shipment materially affects the payable amount or delivery arrangement.

Unless otherwise communicated, the total amount charged for all parcels shall not exceed the confirmed order amount together with disclosed shipping charges.

20. Delays Beyond Reasonable Control

Meer Retail shall not be liable for delivery delays or failures caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including:

  • Floods or natural disasters;

  • Extreme weather;

  • Epidemics;

  • Government restrictions;

  • Strikes;

  • Civil disturbances;

  • Road closures;

  • Transportation interruptions;

  • Courier system failures; or

  • Telecommunications outages.

Meer Retail shall make reasonable efforts to communicate known material delays and facilitate an appropriate resolution.

21. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Meer Retail shall not be responsible for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising solely from a delayed, missed, or unsuccessful delivery.

Where Meer Retail is legally responsible for a lost shipment, its financial liability shall ordinarily be limited to the amount actually paid for the affected products and applicable shipping charges.

Nothing in this Policy excludes liability for fraud, wilful misconduct, gross negligence, or any consumer right that cannot legally be excluded.

22. Returns and Exchanges

Acceptance of delivery does not remove any right available under Meer Retail’s Return and Exchange Policy or applicable law.

All returns and exchanges require prior authorization. Customers must not send a parcel to an address appearing on the shipping label unless Meer Retail has confirmed that address for returns.

23. Fraud, Misuse and Unfair Conduct

Meer Retail may investigate, suspend, or reject orders involving:

  • Suspected identity misuse;

  • False payment claims;

  • Manipulated evidence;

  • Repeated unjustified refusals;

  • Abusive conduct; or

  • Misuse of Cash on Delivery, open-parcel, promotional, return, or replacement facilities.

Any action taken shall be proportionate and shall not prejudice a genuine customer complaint.

24. Changes to This Policy

Meer Retail may update this Shipping Policy to reflect operational, courier, commercial, or legal changes.

The version published on the website at the time the order is placed shall ordinarily apply to that order unless a later amendment is required by law or is more favourable to the customer.

25. Governing Law

This Shipping Policy shall be governed by the applicable laws of Pakistan and relevant provincial or territorial consumer-protection laws.

If any provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in effect.

Mandatory statutory consumer rights shall prevail over any inconsistent provision of this Policy.
